All the practical information you need

Parents, you are the school’s main contact. We are at your disposal for any information related to your child’s schooling.

School calendar

The school follows the school calendar set by the Direction de la formation et des affaires culturelles DFAC of the Canton of Fribourg in order to simplify the organisation of families and siblings.

There may be some particularities, but these are communicated to you early in the year.

List of school and extracurricular materials

In July, the teachers send the parents a letter with the list of school materials to buy (pencils, notebooks, brushes…).

For sports

  • short and t-shirt or trainer
  • sport shoes with white soles (no « ballerinas »). These shoes can only be used for indoor sports and cannot be used outside!
  • bath towel
  • shower product
  • spear underwear.

For the pool

  • swimming suit
  • bath towel
  • shower product
  • elastic and hairbrush for long hair.

Absences

In case of illness, the absence of the student must be communicated to the school secretariat via the Klapp application

Leave request

In the case of leave of absence lasting up to half a day, parents must inform the class teacher in advance via Klapp.

A pupil may be granted leave for justified reasons. Only duly substantiated reasons which, in exceptional circumstances, may override the obligation to attend school will be taken into consideration, such as:

an important family event;
an important religious festival or the observance of an important religious rite;
a major sporting or artistic event in which the pupil is actively participating.

Joker days

Since the begining of the school year, four half-days of leave can be taken per year and per child, without having to justifiy the reason. This is subject to the following conditions:

  • These days/half-days are non-transferable from one school year to the next.
  • The announcement must be made at least 2 weeks in advance via the Klapp application.
  • Joker days cannot be taken on the first school day of the school year, during the “Out of School” activities and the “Camp vert”, and on test days or assessments announced more than 2 weeks in advance.
