One of the strengths of the school is its wide range of hours. From 7.30 am, the premises are open and the reception is provided until the start of classes. At lunchtime, children can eat in the cafeteria and at the end of the day, afternoon and evening care is offered. And it is always possible to adjust the morning, midday or evening hours in case of unforeseen circumstances. This flexibility is greatly appreciated by parents.
The school offers students an out-of-school reception to facilitate the organization ans travel of families. It is available to the children aged 4 to 12 years attending private school. Occasional childcare is also is also available to help parents deal with unforeseen circumstances.
Extra-curricular care is offered during school periods: during school holidays, Wednesdays and holidays, no care is provided.
The aim of the service is to provide children with a framework in which they can evolve and develop many social skills.
Morning reception : 7:30-8:30
For children who start school later:
> students in 1-2H : Monday morning, Tuesday morning, Thursday morning, Friday morning
Lunch reception : 11:20-13:30
Students from 1H to 8H eat together in the cafeteria and are supervised by the competent staff.
Evening reception : 15:30-18:00
Students receive a snack an then they have the opportunity to play together.
Wednesday morning reception : 7:30-11:30
From the start of the 2026 school year, a pilot scheme to open the after-school reception on Wednesday mornings will be introduced, subject to a minimum of five children being enrolled (see the terms and conditions in the out-of-school reception regulations)

If parents register their child ‘with menu’:
Children will have lunch in our cafeteria, located in the school building. The meals are delivered by Cookids (www.cookids.ch), which offers healthy, tasty food specially adapted for children. Three menus are available: a classic menu, a vegetarian menu and a lactose-reduced menu. Parents are charged CHF 10.50 per meal.
If parents register their child ‘with picnic/without menu’:
The child brings a packed lunch from home. Two microwaves are available, so please provide your child with a microwave-safe container. Please note that if your child has to reheat his or her meal, this may result in longer waiting times at lunchtime. Tip: There are isothermal containers or food thermos that keep meals warm. This allows parents to offer a hot meal without the child having to queue up to use the microwave.
Creative, artistic and sports workshops take place (15h30-16h45). They are open to all pupils of the École Privée Moléson and the Deutschsprachige Regionalschule Freiburg (DRF). After-school clubs will also be open to external children.
They are open to all students between 3H and 8H and take place on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (from 15:30 to 16:30) . The supervisor, in principle a student, answers any questions of the children and checks that the homework are properly performed. This is neither a support lesson nor a corrective lesson. The supervisor assists in understanding instructions and, if necessary, provides explanations and encourages students to review their lessons.
You can register your children for the time slots of your choice. The half-yearly cost is Fr. 250. –
